Which phones does SCANBUY Shopper support?         
SCANBUY Shopper works with most Java-enabled mobile phones. We currently support T-Mobile, Cingular and Sprint.

Is SCANBUY Shopper free?
YES! The only thing you might need is to have unlimited data plan on your mobile phone. Most carriers offer unlimited data-plan for a flat monthly fee. If you don’t have it, it’s like having a computer with no internet connection. Pretty lame, huh?

Do I need data plan or data service to use SCANBUY Shopper? What is it? How much does it cost and where can I get it?
Yes. Data plan or data service enables your cell phone to connect to the internet. SCANBUY Shopper needs an internet connection to gather the most current information
on each product you search.
If you do not have data plan, or if you are unsure, you should contact your carrier to set up an unlimited data plan service. You carrier may charge you a monthly flat fee for that service.

My phone does not support SCANBUY Shopper. What can I do to get it?
We are adding phones everyday. Fill out the registration form, and we will let you know when it is available on your mobile.

Can I use SCANBUY Shopper on my computer?
This mobile application is not available for computers as of yet. Go to the registration form. For carrier, select "Other" and for "Phone Model", enter "Computer". You will receive a notification when SCANBUY Shopper is available on your PC.

I live outside of the US, can I get SCANBUY Shopper?
Unfortunately, SCANBUY Shopper is only available in the United States.

I received a text message on my cell phone after filling the download form. What should I do with it?
Open the text message received from SCANBUY. It contains the link/URL to the download page.
Depending on your phone, the link could be clickable or not. If it is clickable, click on it, and you will automatically be redirected to the download page on your mobile.
If the link is not clickable, select "options" or "more" and then select "go to URL", or "paste", or "save address" depending on your phone; and use this URL/link to go to our download page on your mobile phone.


I downloaded the application on my phone, but I cannot find it… Is it lost??
No. Relax. Take a deep breath and look into one of these folders: applications, downloads, contents, my own, games.

Which barcode number should I type to make a new search?
The barcode number to enter is the one you see on most products. It is usually located at the back of a product and contains at least 12 digits. The first and last digits that appear in smaller font are still part of the barcode number.
When looking up a book, you can also enter the ISBN barcode number.  Its digits should be located above the classic barcode and be preceded of the word “ISBN”.

Every time we release an upgrade, we will send you a text message with a download link.  

How can I buy a product using SCANBUY Shopper?
Once you have made a product search, select the price and/or retailer you want. Once you are on the detailed screen, click on the "email me" button at the bottom right of the screen. You will receive an email with the link or list of link relating to your product. Simply click on the link of the product/price wanted, and buy it.

Why does SCANBUY Shopper require my email address and my ZIP code?
Your ZIP is used to calculate taxes and shipping costs and your email allows you to receive information when you request it.

I downloaded the SCANBUY Shopper but there seems to be a security issue when launching the application…
Several carriers and/or manufactures are blocking access to some applications because their signatures are required. Give us some time until we figure out which phones/carriers need signatures.
